`Synfull and I were talking in chat a while ago about dithering and how it can be beneficial to a lot of pixel-arts and emoticons. Even a simple dither in the background can greatly improve a piece. Problem is, some people have no clue how to dither. I'm no expert. I utilize a very simple dither pattern for my stamps, and a pretty traditional one for larger pieces.
Anyhow, as Karen and I were talking, I remembered that wanted to upload a sample of my dithering for free-use. It's nothing fancy. I've included 2 examples--a good deal of my background dithering are variations of these two designs.
The designs are done in rainbow and next to them is an example of a piece I have actually used in a deviation:

This seems pretty cool It's always nice when someone posts helpful stuff like this Any idea what one would need to do pixel arts? I've been wondering about it for a while
Thank you so much! I'm spriting some basic game sprites for a game we've to make for college right now so i wont be able to update it for ages but once I get the chance I'll have it finished (hopefully) and I'll have the game sprites up too
I love your way ,I always wondered how you and other emoticonists can "merge" colors like this .
How am I doing on a first half finished go?
