My entry for =Wooded-Wolf's 2011 Emote Mosaic Project. [link]

This was a neat project and I liked the challenge of entering. You had to work with a limited color tileset and try to work your piece into the overall bigger picture. This proved a bit more difficult for me than I thought it would be. Mostly because I had a hard time setting the tiles so they would fit the grid. Actually, many tiles are a bit off, but you can't tell so much on the big picture. I did try hard to blend the backgrounds of the tiles above and below me, doing a mid transition that I'm only partially happy with. Overall, I'm okay with the piece but wish I had WW's skill to make it much better and do the project justice. :hmm:

*** :police: Note: This was a piece created specifically for a dA website project, my normal terms of use do not apply. Please do not use this image. ***

That's too awesome! What I really like about emotes is how...simple they are (or seem) to draw.

They actually are simple, which is the task of the emoticonist to spruce them up and make them into something more special.

Actually, not that long, since it was essentially pixelling, but just on a very large level. However, having the limited tile palette made it difficult. Plus, I couldn't get the tiles to line up right. Thankfully =Wooded-Wolf fixed it before he put it on the project.
