My 1000th deviation! You all wanted something big, so here it is.

Before I go any further, this is an entry for the June EMTC. Theme is Vacation. [link] For our family, vacations almost always center around going to a theme park. Usually Disney or Universal, as we have family in Florida. Though, we have some local parks we've visited for day trips. Note: This is a non-competing entry because *Ravenswd is a judge this month.

I have been wanting to do a roller coaster animation for over a year, but I knew it would be a colossal project. And, OMG, it WAS! This took well over 30 hours, mostly done in the wee hours of the morning.

I was gonna write a wall of text, but I'm gonna pass right now. *Ravenswd will be posting up some WIPs in his gallery, and I will be posting some of the individual elements in my Scraps soon. I'll get into detail about the animation then, since I don't want to bore everyone now.

All of that said, it was a huge project and I'm really super geeked we pulled it off. At the end of the day, about 10% of the work was done by *Ravenswd and 90% by me. But, I really couldn't have done it in time without his graphics magic and general help--so a big thanks to Jim.

For fun, my 500th deviation...

*_{In case anyone is doing the math, due to dA now classifying news and journals as deviations, the count is all fricked up. It's showing I have nearly 1100 deviations, when I've only posted 20-ish pieces since this one. So, I'm not sure if this was technically my 1000th art deviation or was perhaps a few under. But, considering I have more than a hundred formal emotes in my Scraps, I think it washes out.}
