You know, I was gonna write something long about this, but I don't think I have to. I have always felt closer to the outcasts and the ones nobody thinks are friend-worthy. Probably because I am that person (trust me, I am more of an outcast than any of you will know). But when you are a friend, you don't care what others say or think, you stick by your friend and that's that.

That said, I have had a handful of friends who have stuck by me, even when I *know* it was terribly hard and they got a lot of criticism for it. Those people hold very special places in my heart, and I hope they know that.

I must admit, I'm rather curious how you are an outcast. But you don't have to tell me anything though. It's your privacy after all. I just want to say that I admire this piece. I feel bad that you had to suffer that way and I'm glad to hear that you would be friends with someone who feels so bad about themselves. One more example of why I love dA so much. You are a blessing on and offline

Well, among the core communities that I operate in. It's better now, but there was a time I was very much so. Now, not so much, but a lot of that has to do with the fact that I now consciously operate on the outskirts. However, if I try to get too involved in the inner workings or try to become a leader, the fangs and claws come out. So, I stand back; not worth the aggravation.

This really hits home for me. I've always been the outcast, the one nobody cares about and just ignores. If it wasn't for the one very special friend that gave me their loyalty, I don't think I'd be the person I am now. They've really helped me through a lot, and have stuck by me, no matter what. I can't thank them enough.
