Gentle Criticism Stamp by Mirz123 Gentle Criticism Stamp by Mirz123
This stamp was inspired by two separate incidents recently.

The first was my visiting a page where the artist displayed a sign that warned people NOT to give him criticism. He explained he had gotten too many "critiques" which were nothing more than people ripping him to shred and he was sick of it.

Second, I myself, had a poster who decided to get all over my case because he felt (much of) my art was archaic and pointless. Pixel art should have died back in the 90s, y'know.

I think that unless someone specifically asks for an ass-chewing, that critique should be thoughtful...and gentle. People want to get better. They don't want to be so belittled they never want to create again.

This is in stamp form, but I DO have a PLZ version I'll be uploading very soon, since I know this stamp will do well in the artist notes of deviations. I just need to get the accounts set-up and I'll be linking it up soon.

As with most of my pixel work, you may use this on and off deviantART, without my permission. The only thing I ask is that you keep the file name in tact and don't remove any credit information. Also, if you use, let me know as it encourages me to make more free-use art.

This image is now available for limited commercial use. You may not re-distribute or sell this image. However, it may be used as site decoration, such as on forums, in chats, or in a similar manner. Please see [link] (this page) for full details.

I got some critiques that were quite harsh in my opinion, when I really wanted to know if the headshot/icon that I made was pretty good ;;

Course, it might take me a while to accept constructive criticism due to my sensitive side (growing up, I was never given constructive criticism like how I get on, I still accept good criticism that will help me.

One time in one popular story of mine, there was a guy who gave me reviews on each and every chapter, and the first one on the first chapter? He said it's rushed (which is true) but then said it's awful.

Going on, he let out a *sigh* while giving me some criticism.

Then he questioned the romance (which I do admit is kinda strange, but hey, Fire Emblem Awakening DO have some strange ways for characters to fall in love with each other) and then saying "da frig?"

He even tried to inform me that my OTP that I added in the story that they're from different timelines, which I know, but still...

That upsets me that time. I mean, while he DOES give some half decent points, the things he did above is just rude. :/

Love this stamp BTW. FAVING IT SO HARD (if you know what I mean :eyes:)

That's awful. I agree, someone can not like something and still be respectful about it. Really sad when people feel the need to be rude.

IKR? It made me stop writing that story for a bit. I might come back to it though, I blocked the jerk.

And you're welcome :)

I'm sure it's justified, but I wouldn't post comments like that.
The staff really don't like it when people do 'call-outs' for any user.
