I'm not trying to make a big social statement with this stamp, but I do feel it's a sentiment that's important to remember. I see so many hurt feelings because someone the person looks up to (or feels is their superior) doesn't like their work...or doesn't like them personally. I think we should look to others for support and guidance, but we should not tie-up our worth and self-esteem on what someone else thinks of us. Value opinions, but don't let them make or break you. Particularly with art, do what you love. Learn from the critiques, but don't let them destroy you.

This is a lesson I try to live by, but find myself forgetting from time to time.
