New Sign - Updated by Mirz123 New Sign - Updated by Mirz123
*** This was pretty plain, particularly for advertising something "new". So, at the suggestion of :dragondoodle:, I added some pizazz to this. ***

Made this a week or so ago because I needed it for #pixelacademy. This is basically a companion sign to the one requested by ^krissi001.

:iconupdatedsignplz:

I will probably make a couple of more of these to have a full set for use in journals, group boxes, news articles, and more. I dunno--what other phrases would be useful?

*** :aww: As with most of my smileys, you may use this on and off dA, without my permission. The only thing I ask is that you keep the file name in tact and don't remove any credit information. If you do use it for something, it would be nice if you could comment and let me know. It encourages me to make more smileys if I know people are using/enjoying them.

These images now available for commercial free-use. Please see [link] (this page) for terms and more details. ***

Thanks. I do think the regular :new: is great to use, but this one is more for rule blogs, etc. so there is conformity of people use some of my other signs.

This is great! Although . . . the former advertising manager in me keeps wanting a yellow bursty around "new" like this ==> :new: But that's just me :paranoid: It's a great sign :aww:

Actually, I think the bursty "new" is still the best bet. Plus, the smaller size makes it nice next to the text. The reason I did a sign was because I had a page with rules, etc. that used the updated sign...

:iconupdatedsignplz:

The bursty "new" looked out of place. So I created the sign simply for uniformity. I thought I might make a series, some with the words "rules", "submissions", and other similar phrases for setting up of group blogs and official journals.

Ahhhh . . . got it . . . I was actually thinking you could put the burst on the sign . . . but that might be too much :paranoid:

Actually, you do have a point. I felt that since it was such a small word, it got swallowed on the sign. it probably does need something more to it, but I don't know what would not be too overpowering.

Maybe a simple burst in yellow with a thin red outline?

Or! Make the burst white, with the sign yellow so it looks inverted?

Hmm, good idea. I really should play around with it and see if I can do something to make it stand out.
