I was thinking of what to do for =sahina-waya's New Years contest. [link] Everyone seemed to be doing the celebration and fireworks things (I even created a stamp along those lines). Anyhow, my kids were watching the Rank & Bass "Rudolph and the Baby New Year" special and that gave me this idea. Though I didn't go specifically with that special, but just the idea of Father Time passing off the clock to the Baby New Year.

Gosh, my kids hadn't seen that special before (well, at least that they could remember). I totally grew up on those specials. I feel so old.

They were old when I was a kid. Those were the days before Nick and Disney channel, so you didn't have 100 other options of what to watch on kids t.v.
