When I was working on my Shakespeare stamp recently, I wanted an old Roman type text for it. I tried using Times New Roman, which is a Windows system font, but it didn't render well at very small sizes. So I ended up creating letters based on that design. Though, it's certainly not a copy as I made adjustments to most letters and gave it a bit of my own flair. Anyhow, I liked it so much, I did a full set.



No, it's not that much different than other serif fonts of the like, but it is highly readable at small sizes which is what I was going for.

This is a full font set, including ALL special characters. The zip file includes the fonts, a readme file, a copy of the preview graphic, as well as a graphic of the full character set. When using a graphics program, this font works best at 6pts (8px).

I have a commercial program I bought a while ago, but I don't want to repeat it's name. The program is VERY buggy and won't run on Vista or Win7. Basically, a lot of people have bought this program (including people I told about it) and it wouldn't work for them. :(

That said, before I got this commercial program, I used an online font generator to make my programs. [link] It is an easy to use online utility and makes TTFs easily. The only problem is that you can't make "large" bitmap fonts. But for something the size of this font, it's fine.
