Week 9 of my Emote Journal Meme

This past week was the 4th of July weekend and the big event was a visit from my in-laws. Thing is, I didn't want to pixel that out. Who wants to remember a trip where your visitors hate you. Bottom line is I want this meme to be about things I want to be reminded of. So, when thinking it over, I decided there was one thing about the visit that was worthy of an entry.

At our 4th celebration, we were very afraid that with all of the people coming in and out of the house, the dog or cats might get outside and out of the yard. We locked them up in the second level of our house. Thing is, our cats are crafty and sometimes sneak out, so we locked them in our bedroom. The door has a cat door so they can get in and out normally, but we didn't want them to. So we blocked the hole with a bunch of pillows (our dog was on the other side). At the end of the day, we came back into the room to see the cats outside of the bedroom and feathers everywhere. Apparently our dog helped them escape from the room! I have to admit, I didn't even mind our destroyed pillows. I LOLed so hard at the thought of those cats meowing in the bedroom and our dog saying, "don't worry guys, I'll get you out of there!" So, a happy memory to chronicle from the visit.

Needless to say, this piece fit the EMTC. It's not my main entry, but I thought it would be fun to include.
