I think most of you know that `Ravenswd and I created a holiday animation back in October. [link] I don't do this often. I don't like to beg for myself because it makes me feel very whorish (I'll beg for others because that's more what begging is for in my book). Anyhow, could you pimp it out? One of the reasons we released it early was to get it exposure, but I know we released it *too* early. We had to, but that's a moot point. I don't mean mentioning it for a DD either, as I know many people have already and I don't hold any hope for that. I just want it to get some views for the holiday. The last time we did this, it went up a few days before Christmas and hardly anyone saw it. I'm actually thinking of taking it down from `Ravenswd's account and re-posting it here on my account as I have more watchers and perhaps we'll get some more looks.
Anyhow, gonna try imbedding a Youtube here. Honestly if you are on Youtube if you can fave it there and perhaps spread the word a little, that would be great. Or post it up on your outside blogs, Facebook, website. It would mean the world to me/us. dA just seems so quiet and lonely these days, I just don't feel it's gonna get much more here.

I was reading another deviant's journal yesterday and she was talking about how she ends up getting down on her art and doubting her skills once a month, like clockwork. For me, it's like once a week. I'm not looking for reassurance. I guess it was just kinda surreal to read her words and see me in them. I have been trying VERY hard not to talk about it here much since I have caused way too much drama with my emo-ness in the past. But if I do seem down on my art, please don't be mad at me. I *know* I am luckier that most people here on the site. I have a very large following and I get many faves and comments. You have no idea how much I appreciate that. But, I guess you have to understand that I'm in my 40s. I haven't gotten this kind of attention on my art except for the past year or two. I spent a lot of years struggling to get seen and with a lot of rejection. I've had some very good things in my life, which I was convinced were sound, fall apart around me. So, I kinda keep waiting for the floor to fall out here, too. Anyhow, just explaining since I know I've lost fans because of it. I'm really trying very hard to bite my tongue. But if you see sad art coming out of me or what-not, just understand where it's coming from and try not to think to bad of me.
Since the emote is a collab you can both post it in your galleries. It is quite common for collabs to be double-posted. I've seen DDs where both deviants were given DDs on the same day!
I tried to use a code I found that I had gotten from Dani to embed the video and cannot get it to come up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong On my profile page I added the thumb to my "Happy Holidays" widget section, so the thumb is at least there.
Thank you again. I am considering it. But, the only reason I don't is that we kinda have a thing where one of us takes ownership of our collabs. Just makes things easier.
I do believe I linked it to my husband's Facebook account. I very rarely go on his page since it just looks like a mash of unorganized information on it, but I did want to send the link to family. I can inbed it in my journal. I have to lookup how as I forgot ~ I forever forget how to use the code on dA.
Aww, you are very sweet. Thank you. I found the code using Google cuz I couldn't using the dA search. I would give it to you, but every time i edit my journal, it wipes out the code!
Honestly, dA's search is not very good--and too disconnected. Meaning you have to search each element independently (journals, deviations, etc). Google is great for locating news articles and journals I forgot to bookmark.
