The Winners of the 2011 Emote AwardsGreetings, and welcome to #TheEmoteAwards, 2011 edition!

I am your host, `stuck-in-suburbia and I want to thank everyone for letting me host the third annual Emote Awards! You know what they say, the third time's the charm.

Today, we celebrate those among us who have really excelled this year. However, I have a few guidelines for the acceptance speeches;

Don't thank your parents. They really don't want to know what you get up to online, or be associated with it.

Don't get on your soapbox, or talk at all about politics. If I wanted a nap, I would actually go to class.

Finally, when you're given your award, don't complain that it's not shiny. I'm sorry, but I ran out of glitter half way through.Now that I've rambled on long enough, we can get on to announcing the winners!

EmoteOCs Pageant Winners!#EmoteOCs recently held an emoticon pageant.  Contestants were to compete in three rounds. 1 -  An audition round introducing their original character.  2 - A talent show round where contestants were to showcase a talent their OC possessed. 3 - A round which featured a day in the life of their OC.
There were over 30 entries in the first round, but only 12 made it through to the final round.  To see a list of all of the entries, and learn a little more about the #EmoteOCs group, you can check them out in this News article.
Before we announce the winners, we would like to explain voting.  Judging was done on a round-by-round basis.  Meaning, we selected our favorites from each round, compiled the votes, and using a LOT of math (`Ravenswd literally made a ton of graphs and charts for this) we came up with the winners. This zine is a collective work of many emoticonists. Note this is our first zine article, so things are still a bit experimental and we may have missed an item or two. Don't be alarmed. Be sure to follow us over the next few weeks as we broaden our features and get things settled.
