Spotlight Artists

A fun feature of deviantART is the "Random" feature. You can find a random group, deviation, or deviant. In the spirit of fun, we used the Random Deviant feature and picked 10 of the first artists who met this criteria: Active in last 3 months + Under 50,000 page views + Family-friendly art. Enjoy!

Full Capacity: Prologue“Freeze!” The policemen raised their guns in unison, not sure what they would find behind the warehouse door. The broke open the door after several warnings and found 20 or so guns pointed their way. About half of the people were in black uniforms and had P30 handguns. The other half wore Dark brown army fatigues and had M4A1s. In the corner behind some of the men sat 5 happy toddlers.
“Great, the authorities. I’m so scared.” A man wearing black mocked with a snicker.
“I’m serious! Drop your weapons!”
Everything happened at once. Gunshots rand out throughout the warehouse as the chief of police lunged for the kids at the same time as a man wearing the army fatigues. The policeman elbowed the other man in the face and was able to grab 4 out of the 5 giggling infants. The last was grabbed by the man who quickly placed her in a black van and sped off. They were chased but the trail went cold after a couple of miles.

Group Spotlight

There's no denying that a complex piece of art draws our eyes. But sometimes the most simple piece can be just as captivating. #HappilySimple is one of my favorite groups, featuring a variety of striking, but simple work. As the group's tagline states, sometimes "Simplicity > Complexity".
