My Policies

Journal Entry: Wed Sep 7, 2011, 5:23 AM
Different deviants have different preferences on how they handle their work, comments and faves. Since there can be confusion from artist to artist, I thought I would note my practices.

 I love all of my visitors and fans. I appreciate all comments and notes, including "thanks for the fave" and "awesome work."

:+fav: A fave is a compliment...you don't have to comment.  But, if you do, it makes me really happy.

 Friendly notes, thoughtful commentary, and constructive criticism are always welcome.

:aww: I appreciate when someone takes the time to leave me a comment. Whether I have 20,000 or 200,000 page views, I hope to always be reachable to my fans. I read all my comments and try to respond to every one.  I may not get back to you right away, but I will write back--even if it's just a short "thank you."

:thanks: Unfortunately, due to the number of faves I get a daily, I am not longer able to regularly thank those who fave my work.  Please know I appreciate each and every fave.  I do, however, still thank for devWatches, even though it may take me a few weeks...or months.

:deviation: Most of my smileys/emotes (and many of my other graphics) have been created under a Creative Commons license, meaning you are free to use them on and off dA. There are many that are even open for commercial use. However, not all of my art is free use. Please read the description and look for the CC information before grabbing a piece. If there is any confusion or question, drop me a note. I'm usually VERY flexible about these things, so just ask.

 I want my page to be a happy and safe place.  I ask that everyone be polite and respectful.  If you have a problem, kindly note me.

And since there are a few who don't seem to follow my last provision, sadly I have had to add the following:

 I do not engage in drama. I have spent many years in online communities and have dealt with my share of troublemakers and trolls. I have no desire to participate in such nonsense here on deviantART. I am simply here to share my art and to connect in positive & constructive ways with others. If you cannot respect that and choose to act in a negative & aggressive manner, be warned I will simply block you, since I refuse to engage in such activity.

:B As an aside, I have no desire to be "popular". I'm much too old to play school-games. Trash talking and ripping me to your friends to upset me is pointless. Bombarding me or snubbing me in the hopes I will leave the site are futile, since I quite like it here. Art is subjective. I know there are people who will not like my art...or simply will not like me personally.  I totally accept and respect that. However, that does not give you the right to be rude or to instigate conflict. If you really have an issue that needs addressing, contact me privately.

Your art is really good, so anyone being derogatory about it is either stupid or jealous. And I really understand the last two. Targets have to stick together xD

I love your last two points in particular. :) I might just write one of these, you know. ;)

I love your last two points. I do not engage in fighting, so if a flamer gets to flame my stamps, I'll just block him/her.
