A news series featuring art selected by me. There will be a wide range of themes and genres covered. In addition, there will be periodic interviews and artist spotlights.
If you like this article, please add it to your favorites to help spread the love for the art and artists within.
On my profile page, I feature a new deviation every day (or two or three). The piece is usually something that caught my eye. Could be an amazing digital painting, a fun stamp, a quick photograph that made me smile, perhaps a piece for a weekly theme, whatever. However, it moved me enough to share it with my visitors. Below is a list of the artists which I featured during December 2012. I am showcasing different pieces from their gallery in the hope of showing them a bit more love. If you would like to see the original piece I featured of each of these artists, please visit this folder.
In this series, I hope to introduce the community to some artists who have been around dA for a while, but are still relativity unknown. The interviews are meant to be short and sweet. I encourage you to check out the artist's full gallery and add them to your devWatch.
-- This issue, we talk to photographer and digital artist, =Eitvys200
Could you introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself and your dA life?
Hello everyone, I'm Eitvydas (usually everyone around here calls me Tie), I'm 15 and I love deviantART. The main and biggest project I'm running is deviantART wiki (deviantart.wikia.com/wiki/Main… which aims to create a better knowledge source I also have some groups here one of them is #dARecords which collects records around deviantART. Talking about my real life I'm just a student who lives in a small city.
What would you say your main artform is? Secondary?
My main artform is photography it's where I started and what I like the most still. Second is probably digital/pixel art the second artform I really love.
When did you start pursuing your art? What prompted you to?
I started just before I joined dA. I remember that day very clearly I saw a photo that truly inspired me it was a sunny autumn day and I grabbed my photo camera ran outside and started capturing all those amazing things.
What is your favorite piece in your gallery at the moment?
Maybe it's not the best I did, but it's defiantly my favorite. Not sure why maybe colors? Maybe because of the place I took it?
In general, what is your favorite thing to create (i.e. fan-art, poetry, etc) ?
It depends. If I will feel like that I will go and create a stamp if I will feel differently I might grab my camera and run God knows where to take a perfect photo.
Just for fun question: What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is defiantly Titanic.I could watch it many, many times.
Time to spread the love. Who are 3 artists you feel could use more love? Tell us why you love them. (please select one piece from each of the artist's gallery and send me the thumb)
~SnowSniffer is my friend and great emoticonist. I love his works and how he shades his emotes.
*Smoludozerka I fall in love with her work when I commissioned here.
~Xanderpus Is great artist/emoticonist. Go give hims some love.
Thank you for the interview. And thank you to everyone who will read this.
Some of my picks from =Eitvys200's gallery:
Valentine's Day is this week, and the focus is on candy and hearts and love. When trying to think of other things that invoke the holiday, my mind went to lace. There is nothing quite as romantic as lace, whatever the form. So, with that in mind, here's a lacy feature...
Having been a bit MIA lately and missing a lot of art, I ran a poll lately asking my watchers to show me some of their recent faves. Here's a collection of some that were linked. You can see the full poll here ---> mirz123.deviantart.com/journal…
This section will be used to promote special events and such around dA that are close to my heart, as well as requested pimpage.
