A news series featuring art selected by me. There will be a wide range of themes and genres covered. In addition, there will be periodic interviews and artist spotlights.
Daily Features
On my profile page, I feature a new deviation every day (or two or three). The piece is usually something that caught my eye. Could be an amazing digital painting, a fun stamp, a quick photograph that made me smile, perhaps a piece for a weekly theme, whatever. However, it moved me enough to share it with my visitors. Below is a list of the artists which I featured during June2012. I am showcasing different pieces from their gallery in the hope of showing them a bit more love. If you would like to see the original piece I featured of each of these artists, please visit this folder.

Spotlight Interview
In this series, I hope to introduce the community to some artists who have been around dA for a while, but are still relativity unknown. The interviews are meant to be short and sweet. I encourage you to check out the artist's full gallery and add them to your devWatch.
Hi everyone, my name is George Patsouras and I’m a freelance artist residing in Long Island City, NY. I joined DA about a year ago and I really enjoy posting here. Unfortunately I don’t have time to be as active as I would like due to freelance work, which takes up a majority of my time.
Primarily, I like to paint fantasy art, so hopefully my work showcases this. Horror would be my secondary as well. I like to paint in a realistic fashion, but adding a fantasy or horror twist is much more creative for me as opposed to straight up realism. In terms of the medium, primarily my work is painted digitally with Photoshop and a Wacom Tablet. I love to draw traditionally as well, so secondary would be pencils.
I pursued art from a very young age. I was always drawing nonstop during my younger years, and it was something I knew I wanted to have a career in fairly early.
I would say ‘Save Us’, as that was a very personal piece during a dark period of my life. Additionally it was one of the first images that came out pretty much exactly how I envisioned it from the get go, which I’m very proud of.

Anything fantasy related, for sure. I also like to paint fan art every now and then when I get the opportunity to do so.
Good question! It’s hard to pick a favorite, as I have so many... but if I had to I guess it would be ‘The Matrix’. That movie was so ahead of it’s time it’s ridiculous, and still impresses me to this day.
There’s a ton of artists that deserve more exposure. Some of my favorites are *KaynessArt, ~bakatron, ~flavioluccisano

I just wanted to thank you for this feature, very much appreciate it!

Themed Feature
I have been working on a piece about a slave. So, I decided to see what I could find in the dA galleries with the keyword of "prisoner."

Special Feature
As an emoticonist, I'm a big fan of emoticon projects. They are a way for emoticonists to participate in a large collab, allowing varying skill levels to contribute to a larger piece. Recently, a major project, The Archaeology Pixel Projects, was converted to a Flash project, allowing viewers to see the full and complete work, as well as the wrap-around story. Be sure to check it out.
And here are some other amazing emoticon projects (including one of my own), which are well worth a look-see:
