We're Home!What a wonderful thing to come home to so many lovely well-wishes and comments. Thank you all, very much. I'll be working on personal replies soon.
Baby and I are home and settling in. I must say, the whole birth thing was a harrowing experience as I started labor Thursday night, finally felt it was "true labor" enough Saturday morning to go to the hospital--only to be turned away because the doctor felt "nothing much" was happening. You'd think after so many babies I'd know what real-labor is by now, but the doctor told me I was mistaken.

By the time I got home less than a hour later, I told Jim to head to another hospital where they were confident something *was* happening (and quite perplexed why the other hospital had turned me away) and baby was born a few hours later.
Anyhow...
First pictures of babies cute, but never very good since babies are usually a bit rash-ey and tired. So, here's a few more better ones we got today

I'm pregnant again. Yes, this is pretty dramatic...and was a total surprise to us. Mostly because, due to medical reasons, my tubes were tied 5 years ago. Needless to say, it's been quite an adventure. Especially, considering, I believed I had a miscarriage a while back (won't get into the TMI details) and didn't realize I was still pregnant until about a month ago when I started feeling kic

I am Deeply Saddened and Brokenhearted by the events of today's shooting tragedies. As of this writing, 6 Adults and 20 Children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old have passed away from a man that sprayed school staff and student with bullets in a Newtown, Connecticut Elementary School. Additionally, the shooter has been found dead within the school from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

The baby is here!

This is `Ravenswd posting for Mirz. We just wanted everyone to know that our baby was born on Saturday, August 25. A healthy baby boy, his name is Michael Hugo. He weighed 7 1/2 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches. Mom & baby are doing fine. The baby was delivered by C-section so Mom is still in the hospital, but she and the baby will be coming home soon.
