Sorry if I Rant, but...When did it become proper etiquette that instead of saying "no", the person ignores you? This really chaps me. It used to be when you wrote someone and asked them if they could do something, you got a response saying "yes" or "no." Now, the practice is if the person isn't interested, they just ignore you. I wrote an artist off-site to get information for a future commission (don't have the money now, but wanted to see what it would cost after the first of the year). The artist simply never replied. Now, before you say "maybe he didn't get the message" -- I emailed him, left a message on his Youtube AND tweeted him on his Twitter. The fact he has posted numerous things on his Youtube since, and tweeted, tells me he doesn't want to work with me. Which is fine, but c'mon, send me a simple note back saying that.

Top franchises for fanfics (in my opinion)As in, which franchise is the best for making fics/fanfics out of because the possibilities are very broad
1. Pokemon
just think about it. Pokemon isn't just one story, it's an entire world that you can expand with your imagination by creating new lands, stories, and OC's... and because the Pokemon world is so vast, IT WON'T BE TACKY, unlike if you might create an OC for another franchise.
Plus also... the genre possiblilties. Tragedy, adventure, childish, romance, feels, slice-of-life, humans OR Pokemon, drama, magic, surreal, etc.
Mystery Dungeon, Black/White, R/B/Y, glitches like Missingno, Pokemon XD, Diamond and Pearl, ANY OTHER GAME OR JUST...

2. VOCALOID
The possibilities... they're characters, thy have songs, you can write a songfic or an original story. They have no canon, they can be whoever you want. You can place them in any kind if setting.
And if you have an absolutely amazing imagination, VOCALOID might even be on the top of the list for you, along with Poke

Story ideaIts kinda weird

Voice actors are voicing an epic/tragedy anime, but slowly, the actor's lives seem to be fusing in with the fantasy; the show they're voicing a character in!
The characters in the anime exist in another dimension, and they have been created and controlled by the writers of the anime.
In the show, the characters are able to fuse into other dimensions, so when the voice of the main character gets very ill, the show is put on hiatus.
The characters of the anime are now just at a standstill, but soon enough, the characters begin to control... themselves!?
Weird things begin to happen to the show.
Scenes are magically and mysteriously changed, and the lives of the voice actors even seem to start corresponding with their character's story!

Spirit Day

Minnie is wearing a purple bow today. You'd all be blind not to notice that purple banner on the top of your screen. It's Spirit Day. This is a day close to my heart. As a teen, I dropped out of high school due to bullying. Due to bullying, I ended up ill in the hospital from stress. I was beaten up and spit on. I sat at lunch alone for years. Why? Because I dressed differently? I didn't want to be in the cliques? Because I was friends with the other kids everyone picked on and refused to do the same? To this day I don't 100% know.

And the sad thing? I had to see my daughter go through the same things, years later--at the hands of both kids and teachers. Thankfully I had options to remove her from that.

I believe that NO ONE should be bullied. Certainly not for sexual orientation, the way they dress, their beliefs, whatever. Let's stand up and stop this. 20 years ago, I certainly wish someone was there to stand up for me. Let's be there for them now.

Well worth the wait! I ordered a few commissions from `Gwendolyn12 a while back (I've featured the others in my journal before). I just got the last one and it's simply lovely. The mixed media is so much fun and the picture is gorgeous.

A huge thank-you to `Endorell-Taelos for this lovely gift. I have been wanting a portrait from the amazing *NadezhdaVasile but couldn't afford one. Endorell was lovely enough to get me one as a present. This is my Sara (yes, much older) as she appears in the upcoming sequel to the cross-over When Worlds Collide.

Bullying is one of the most disgusting things people do to each other though. I was never bullied, but I think I can imagine how incredibly depressing and saddening it must feel to be. I'm sorry you had to go through things like that.
