Typically yes, but there are some times that I don't feel the need to read AC's. In particular for stamps. The message the artist was trying to deliver is pretty obvious and I know what techniques are used, so I have no real need to read the AC's. I'm not likely to learn anything new or interesting from it.

I like reading them but sometimes I'm short on time so I can't be bothered ^^;

Sometimes the artists' notes are the best part!

If I like the piece, plan to comment, or if it's someone I like/know.

Most of the time, I'm usually curious to what the artist says about their work.

I read them about 99.9% of the time. Maybe that's why I end up doing the :+fav: + :sprint:

I always love reading an artist's notes on how & why they came up with their work.

I'm always so disappointed when it's just "..." or something useless like that...

Me too. Especially when it's a piece I really want to know more about. That gets me frustrated. LOL

Yeah, I can think of several times I've looked through the Daily Deviations and found some interesting picture, and... there's nothing in the Artist's Comments. No indication of where the picture was taken, or why the art was drawn, or anything. And more often than not it's someone I can see doesn't respond to their comments, so there's little point in asking. Bleh.
